TCP 2224
Synopsis
- TCP port 2224 is used by pcsd, the Pacemaker/Corosync configuration and management daemon.
- On Red Hat Enterprise Linux (High Availability Add-On), CentOS, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, and Oracle Linux clusters, pcsd listens on 2224 for node authentication and cluster management invoked by the pcs command.
- Real-world example: RHEL HA clusters for services like SAP HANA System Replication or PostgreSQL require opening 2224/tcp (pcsd) in the firewall; Red Hat’s documentation lists this alongside corosync (5405/udp) and pacemaker_remote (3121/tcp).
- Many distributions’ firewalld “high-availability” service definition includes 2224/tcp for pcsd.
- SUSE environments typically use Hawk (7630/tcp) for the UI, but when pcs is deployed there, pcsd also uses 2224/tcp.
