TCP 30001
Synopsis
- Universal Robots industrial robot controllers (CB3 and e‑Series) listen on TCP 30001 for their Primary client interface, which accepts URScript programs and streams robot state to external control software.
- URSim, the official Universal Robots simulator, exposes the same interfaces as the physical robots, including TCP 30001 for the Primary interface.
- Foundry Virtual Tabletop often uses TCP 30001 when hosting multiple game instances (its default is 30000, with additional instances commonly bound to 30001, 30002, etc.).
- Security note: Exposed UR controllers on TCP 30001 have been highlighted in security research and internet scans; if left reachable from untrusted networks, attackers can send URScript to control the robot, so this port should be restricted or placed behind a VPN.
