TCP port 4730 is the default port for the Gearman Job Server protocol.
The reference server gearmand listens on 4730, and clients/workers connect via libraries such as libgearman and language bindings like the PHP PECL gearman extension and python-gearman.
CI systems have used it in production: the Jenkins Gearman Plugin and Zuul (from the OpenDev/OpenStack CI ecosystem) connect to a Gearman server on 4730 to dispatch and run jobs.
Application frameworks also integrate with it, e.g., Drupal’s Gearman module and Magento (via the Aoe_Queue extension) use 4730 to offload background tasks to Gearman.
