UDP 49152
Synopsis
- Microsoft Skype for Business/Lync uses UDP ports 49152–57500 for RTP/SRTP media, so UDP 49152 commonly carries audio/video calls.
- Poly/Polycom RealPresence endpoints (e.g., Group/Trio) and many SIP/H.323 video systems use UDP 49152–65535 for RTP/RTCP media; 49152 is the first port in their media range.
- Windows (Vista/Server 2008 and later) uses UDP 49152–65535 as the default dynamic port range; various RPC-based services may bind to UDP 49152.
- WebRTC in browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) allocates SRTP media on ephemeral UDP ports within 49152–65535, so apps like Google Meet, Slack, and Discord may use UDP 49152 during calls.
- No well-known exploitation is tied specifically to UDP 49152 beyond general scans of high UDP ports.
