Synopsis
- UDP 49211 falls in the dynamic/private range (49152–65535) and isn’t assigned to a fixed service, so it’s commonly seen as an ephemeral port.
- Microsoft Skype for Business/Lync Server uses UDP 49152–57500 for RTP/RTCP media on A/V Conferencing and Mediation Servers; UDP 49211 can carry those audio/video streams.
- Windows MS-RPC and various Windows services use dynamic UDP ports 49152–65535 for certain RPC endpoints, so Windows hosts may legitimately use UDP 49211.
- WebRTC applications (e.g., Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox) allocate high UDP ephemeral ports for media; UDP 49211 can be selected for local media/data channels during calls.
- VoIP/SIP softphones and SBCs on Windows often use high UDP port ranges for RTP; 49211 may appear within those configured ranges.
