UDP 50080
Synopsis
- Microsoft Skype for Business (formerly Lync) uses UDP ports 50000–59999 for RTP/SRTP media; consequently, UDP 50080 is used in real deployments for audio/video streams between clients, Front End/Edge servers, and media relays.
- The Skype for Business/Lync A/V Edge service specifically allocates media on its external interface across that same 50000–59999 UDP range, so traffic on UDP 50080 is normal in those environments.
