Internet UDP port 5062 is commonly used by the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for multimedia communication sessions in Internet telephony for voice and video calls, in private IP telephone systems, as well as in instant messaging over Internet Protocol (IP) networks. Microsoft's Office Communications Server also uses this port. Additionally, the port is used by the Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) for controlling streaming media servers.
