Synopsis

  • IBM Db2: HADR setups commonly configure their local/remote HADR services to listen on TCP ports 60000 and 60001, so Db2 servers with HADR often have 60000/tcp open.
  • IBM Db2 (partitioned Db2 and Db2 pureScale): the Fast Communication Manager (FCM) is frequently configured to use a high-port range starting at 60000/tcp for inter-partition/member messaging (e.g., 60000–60003 or larger).
  • Jenkins: the “TCP port for inbound agents” (JNLP/Remoting) is configurable, and some deployments set it to 60000/tcp to avoid conflicts, so Jenkins controllers may listen on 60000.
  • Security note: Exposed Jenkins agent ports (including when set to 60000) have been targeted in misconfiguration and remoting-related attacks; best practice is to restrict access and require authentication.
