TCP 7443
Synopsis
- Ignite Realtime Openfire XMPP Server uses TCP 7443 as the default HTTPS port for its HTTP-BIND (BOSH) and (when enabled) WebSocket endpoints, allowing secure web-based XMPP connections.
- Organizations deploying Openfire (e.g., with Spark or other XMPP clients) commonly expose 7443 for these secure services.
- Zimbra Collaboration Suite versions that bundled Openfire for instant messaging (older releases) also used 7443 for secure BOSH to the IM service.
- Openfire plugins such as Openfire Meetings (ofmeet) often serve their secure web components through the same Openfire HTTPS listener on 7443.
