Synopsis for UDP port 8009
Internet UDP port 8009 is commonly used by the Apache JServ Protocol version 1.3 (AJP13). AJP13 is a binary protocol that can proxy inbound requests from a web server through to an application server that sits behind the web server. Apache Tomcat, an open-source implementation of the Java Servlet, JavaServer Pages, Java Expression Language and Java WebSocket technologies, is an example of software that uses this port.
