Synopsis for TCP port 9001
The Tor network primarily uses Internet TCP port 9001 for its operations. Tor, short for The Onion Router, is a system intended to enable online anonymity. It is also used by the DBGp Debugging protocol, which is a common protocol for debugging of scripting languages, such as PHP and JavaScript. Additionally, some instances of the Enigma Protector, a professional system for software licensing and protection, also use TCP port 9001.
