Synopsis
- TCP port 30005 is widely used for the ADS-B/Mode S “Beast” binary data stream.
- FlightAware’s dump1090-fa (via PiAware) exposes its Beast output on 30005 for local consumers and remote feeders.
- The readsb decoder (a fork of dump1090 and bundled by several feeders) provides a Beast TCP server on 30005.
- Jetvision’s Mode‑S Beast and Radarcape receivers serve their Beast TCP stream on port 30005.
- Feeder/aggregator clients such as FR24 feeder (fr24feed), PlaneFinder’s pfclient, ADS‑B Exchange’s mlat-client, and ModesMixer2 commonly connect to localhost:30005 to ingest data.
- Virtual Radar Server and similar ADS-B tools can read the Beast stream on 30005 from dump1090/readsb or Radarcape.
